Where the name comes from

There's a creek that runs through our family's farm near Hopkins. It's called Clear Creek.

We're Laura and Johnny Marriott III, and we run this place on North Depot Street. The name isn't a marketing idea. It's 170 acres of family ground up near Hopkins with a creek through the middle of it, and Johnny grew up over toward Clearmont, which is about as close to home as a name gets.

That's the whole idea of the room, really. It's small. It's a bar. People call it a hole in the wall and we take that as the compliment it is. Then the food arrives and it isn't what anybody expects from a bar this size, which is the part we work hardest at.

One of us is usually out on the floor. If you ask about the ranch, you'll get told it's made here, because it is, and it's our own recipe.

“Very small hometown bar but WOW, it was great food as well! Definitely recommend trying it if in the area!!”

Our own label

Clear Creek Original Hot Sauce

It has our name on the bottle and Maryville underneath it. It sits on the table next to the boil and next to the sandwiches, which is roughly how it was intended.

Ask about it when you're in.

The room

Low lit, cozy, and usually somebody playing

Live music

A singer with a guitar works through country songs at the bar. When we close for a night to host a show, it goes up on Facebook first.

The patio

Out the back, partially shaded, and bigger than the room lets on. Smoking stays outside.

Bearcats on

Northwest Bearcats football goes on the TV.

Booths and tables

It is a bar, but there are plenty of booths and tables, so it works for a family as well as a pint.

Cards and contactless

Credit, debit and tap all fine. Free lot out front and free street parking.

Step free

Wheelchair accessible parking, entrance, restroom and seating.

This place was.......awesome! We like hole in the wall places and Clear Creek did not disappoint. The staff was great and even visited with the owner. Super nice gentleman. Had the Angry Irishman, it was great.

My mom and I both had the French dip and it was hands down the best French dip we have ever had, and we love trying it anywhere we go! If we are ever traveling through here again, we will be back!!

Exceptional food! We had the cheesesteak and the rueben. The salad was high quality dark green lettuce and nice veggies, and the ranch dressing was amazing. Best onion rings I've ever had! Very 80's feel with fun cowboy themed atmosphere. Cozy bar, fun patio partially shaded.
