Where the name comes from
We're Laura and Johnny Marriott III, and we run this place on North Depot Street. The name isn't a marketing idea. It's 170 acres of family ground up near Hopkins with a creek through the middle of it, and Johnny grew up over toward Clearmont, which is about as close to home as a name gets.
That's the whole idea of the room, really. It's small. It's a bar. People call it a hole in the wall and we take that as the compliment it is. Then the food arrives and it isn't what anybody expects from a bar this size, which is the part we work hardest at.
One of us is usually out on the floor. If you ask about the ranch, you'll get told it's made here, because it is, and it's our own recipe.

Owners

A boil, boxed to go, with a bottle of our hot sauce behind it.

“Very small hometown bar but WOW, it was great food as well! Definitely recommend trying it if in the area!!”
Our own label
It has our name on the bottle and Maryville underneath it. It sits on the table next to the boil and next to the sandwiches, which is roughly how it was intended.
Ask about it when you're in.

The room
A singer with a guitar works through country songs at the bar. When we close for a night to host a show, it goes up on Facebook first.
Out the back, partially shaded, and bigger than the room lets on. Smoking stays outside.
Northwest Bearcats football goes on the TV.
It is a bar, but there are plenty of booths and tables, so it works for a family as well as a pint.
Credit, debit and tap all fine. Free lot out front and free street parking.
Wheelchair accessible parking, entrance, restroom and seating.
